Here on this page i offer music that i'm proud of—music that i wrote, engineered, produced, or created in collaboration with others. Unlike the 'buy my work' page, i'm not able to sell this music, either because it's being sold somewhere else, or i created it for someone else's use. Difficult though it is to be satisfied with any of my musical efforts (looking at you, inner demons), i know that my portfolio will keep growing, and each addition brings new challenges, joys, and potential collaborators. Be Free was written, performed, and recorded by sunny human and fellow twitch streamer Victoria Joy. I mixed and mastered this song with input from Victoria, teachers from Arapahoe Community College, and many generous friends. I lived in Oakland, CA from 2014 - 2018, and helped create this song with an incredible artist named Megan, who prompted us all to write reflectively about our past and then piece those words together into a nostalgic rock song that holds a special place in our hearts.
Music is so useful for us humans—not only to soothe & excite us, but to communicate. I'm very grateful to a friend at a biotech company who hired me to create a
custom alert tone for a new retinal imaging device they designed. We went through an iterative process together, getting clear about how the tone should sound, then trying out many different combinations of synthesized tones to get just the right amount of alert.
